Hey, I'm Mandy,

Part time photographer, full-time admin assistant, and part-time dirt enthusiast.

Born and raised in small-town Alberta, I grew up next door to my grandparents’ cattle farm, where 4-H meetings, horse hair, and mud stained jeans were just part of everyday life.

I spent my younger years showing horses, tending to my projects in Beef and Equine 4-H, and eventually trading in my show clothes for team roping (with one brief, overly ambitious winter as a barrel racer—yeah...it didn’t stick).

These days, I work full-time as an admin assistant at a local university and live in town, but my heart still beats to the rhythm of rodeo announcers, arena dust, and cattle calls. While I may not live in the country right now, I stay rooted in the lifestyle by doing what I love most—capturing it. Whether it’s jackpots, rodeos, or quiet moments with your equine companion(s), I’m there, camera in hand, ice capp in the cupholder, and my senior Aussie sidekick, Dan, riding shotgun.

I trip over my own feet, choke on air more often than I’d like to admit, and somehow always manage to end up with hay (or grass and dirt) in my bra—but I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s worth remembering. So if you’re looking for someone who understands the lifestyle, captures the real stuff, and can make you laugh mid-photo—then I’m your girl.

Meet Chaston!

The man behind the drone (and the tech that keeps it all running).
Part IT wizard, part drone pilot, and full-time mystery, Chaston is the calm, clever force behind Mandy Dawn Photography. While he's usually behind the scenes keeping systems smooth and files flowing, he's recently stepped into the spotlight—camera in the sky, controller in hand, and a quiet confidence that says he knows exactly what he’s doing (because he does). He has recently started his own photography venture, Chaston's Aerial Photography (seriously, go check him out on Instagram, and Facebook).

Raised between BC and Alberta, Chaston comes with a slightly secretive past, a sense of humor that sometimes catches me off guard, and the kind of patience most photographers only dream of. He’s got a sharp eye for aerial photography, and the kind of loyalty that makes him the guy you want in your corner—and behind your camera.

Although he’s just getting started, trust me—there’s a lot more to this story. Stay tuned... he's just getting off the ground.

Meet Cassie!!

The tiniest photographer with the biggest heart.

When she’s not behind the camera, you’ll find her training horses, laughing at her own jokes, or doting on her dogs, her garden, and her other half, Austin.

Cassie spends her summers in Northern Alberta and winters in Oklahoma...clearly has it figured out! Who likes the cold anyways? Hahaha

Though she’s new to the photography world, she brings the same dedication, curiosity, and deep care that she brings to her horses. She might be “little bitty,” but don’t let that fool you; her presence, humor, and passion fill any space she’s in.

Cassie is excited to jump into events, capture real moments, and grow her skills one click at a time. If you meet her, you’ll understand rather quickly: she’s one of the kindest humans you’ll ever have the pleasure of working with.

Cassie has also started her own photography business as well. Check out CD Photography!
